Codes and delays
Code and volume analytics in EDFlow: the code log, frequency by type and hour, patients notified, the descriptive code impact on waits, and time in each volume level.
Code log
Type, category, source (console, paging, EHR), called, cleared or expired, duration, patients notified and push sent. It contains no patient identifiers.
Frequency
By type and by hour of day.
Impact
For patients waiting to be seen during a notifying code: the ratio of their wait to their bucket's p50, compared with the same ratio for similar weekday-hour buckets without a code, over the last 12 weeks.
Codes often coincide with busy periods; this is descriptive, not causal.
Volume
Hours in each volume level per day, and how often suggestions were accepted or dismissed.
