Hospital communications

Posters, QR signage, visit cards, the waiting-room display and co-branding rules for hospitals running EDFlow, with the safety messages every piece must carry.

Cette page n'est pas encore offerte en français; elle est affichée en anglais.

Patients learn about EDFlow from what they see in the waiting room. Every piece has the same two safety messages.

Every piece must say

  1. Check in with the triage nurse first. EDFlow starts after registration.
  2. EDFlow isn't for emergencies. If you feel worse, tell staff now.

Never promise a wait time, a place in line or results.

Posters and QR signage

  • Place posters at triage, registration and in the waiting room at eye level for seated people.
  • A poster's QR code links to the hospital's public entry page, which explains how to follow a visit and, before registration, leads with "check in with the triage nurse first". It never signs anyone in: only the visit card does.
  • Protect posters from tampering (framed or laminated, checked each shift). A replaced QR is a phishing risk; the app only accepts EDFlow codes.
  • English and French, plus the site's safety languages where space allows.

Visit cards

WebCarte de visite

Cards print at registered print stations: wallet card (85 × 55 mm), thermal label (4 × 2 in) or full sheet. They carry the QR code, the visit code, the hospital name, the patient's initials only, bilingual instructions and the not-an-emergency line. Keep card stock at every print station. Staff never see the code in clear. See Visit cards.

Waiting-room display

The display shows department-level information only: how busy it is in calm words, how a visit works, how to join, and "Feel worse? Tell the triage nurse now." See Waiting-room display.

Co-branding

"EDFlow at [your hospital]":

  • the EDFlow lockup, a thin divider, then the hospital's own approved logo, at the same height as the square, with clear space on each side of the divider;
  • in the product, the hospital name appears as text, never as a second logo competing with the patient's information;
  • co-branding is production-only and needs a second approver in the admin;
  • never merge the two logos into one shape.
